The HT Group is currently assisting our client in the search for a Sr. Business Development Manager with strong Downstream Petrochemical EPC background to include FEL and FEED experience. This role will be based in Southwest Houston, Texas.

SPECIFIC DUTIES
The Sr. Business Development Manager’s primary responsibilities are:
- Analyzes hydrocarbon and ESG related market value chain and its trend to identify project opportunities and development of business. Implement sales strategies, tactics and action plans that achieve aggressive sales growth at targeted margins for designated products.
- Establish clear financial and performance goals and achieve these goals within established cost and budget parameters.
- Coordinate timely and complete provision of the requisite inputs for processing proposals as well as supporting the internal process for all binding proposals to ensure high proposal quality.
- Ensure that all sales data and reporting responsibilities are managed within the expected deadlines.
- Periodically travel throughout the region to call upon clients and make strategic relationships. Identify and assess new potential markets and business opportunities.
- Act as a strategic interface between clients and internal engineering, proposal, and execution teams to align technical scope, risk profile, and commercial approach.
- Lead the preparation of strategic presentations, white papers, and capability documents for client and stakeholder engagement.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably chemical engineering.
- 10+ years of business development/sales experience with proven experience in the FEL (front end loading) and the EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) sector.
- Preferred candidate from a major EPC contractor with an established customer network across the downstream, petrochemical, and energy transition markets in North America.
- A strong understanding of FEL and EPC project lifecycles and capability of independently identifying and pursuing opportunities from early-stage development through contract award is required.
- Proven ability to develop relationships within the EPC market space.
- Well organized, disciplined individual, with a reputation for integrity, maturity, and sound business judgment.
- Customer-focused, possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, and have the demeanor and professionalism required to build strong relationships, both within and outside the company.
