Our client is building a new operating model to deliver precision-built, zero-energy homes at scale. As the business transitions into execution, the readiness, safety, and operational integrity of physical sites and facilities are critical to successful delivery.

The Site & Facilities Manager is responsible for ensuring that facilities are secure, compliant, and operationally ready to support safe and efficient execution. This role provides hands-on ownership of facility operations, site safety coordination, and materials management, ensuring the physical environment and assets are controlled and maintained to support delivery. The role operates within a high-trust, team-based environment, requiring consistent on-site presence, strong ownership, and disciplined execution.

Position: Site & Facilities Manager (Factory Readiness)
Location: Austin, Texas (East Side)
Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities

Site Readiness & Infrastructure

  • Own readiness of the Decker Lane facility to support operational activities
  • Coordinate facility uplift, including utilities (MEP), tooling readiness, and workspace setup
  • Support fit-out of office and operational areas as required
  • Ensure infrastructure is operational and maintained to support ongoing use

Facilities Management & Site Operations

  • Manage day-to-day operation of the facility
  • Ensure facility security and protection of assets
  • Oversee maintenance, utilities, and site services
  • Coordinate third-party services (janitorial, cleaning, waste management)
  • Ensure the facility environment supports safe and efficient workflows

Health, Safety & Regulatory Compliance

  • Establish and enforce site safety standards (OSHA)
  • Ensure safety infrastructure is installed and maintained
  • Implement HAZCOM and SDS management
  • Lead toolbox talks, inspections, and permit controls
  • Maintain incident reporting and response readiness

Permitting & Local Coordination

  • Coordinate facility access in line with local requirements
  • Support adherence to building use, occupancy, and safety requirements
  • Coordinate inspections and interactions with local authorities as needed
  • Maintain awareness of evolving compliance requirements

Materials Management & Site Logistics

  • Own goods-inwards process
  • Ensure proper storage and protection of materials
  • Maintain inventory visibility
  • Coordinate internal material movement
  • Ensure structured and efficient site logistics

Partner Coordination (Site-Based)

  • Coordinate on-site activities with partners and contractors
  • Enforce site rules and safety standards
  • Support contractor access and scheduling
  • Act as first point of contact for site-related issues

Continuous Improvement & Facility Standards

  • Identify opportunities to improve site layout, flow, and safety
  • Support development of scalable facility standards
  • Capture learnings to inform future factory operations

Candidate Requirements

  • Relevant experience in facilities, site operations, construction, or industrial environments
  • Experience managing active sites with multiple contractors and stakeholders
  • Strong knowledge of health, safety, and regulatory requirements (OSHA)
  • Experience in materials handling or site logistics is advantageous
  • Demonstrated reliability in a high-trust, asset-sensitive environment
  • Strong ownership mindset and accountability
  • Hands-on, practical problem-solving approach
  • Ability to maintain consistent on-site presence
  • Team-oriented with strong communication skills
  • Comfortable operating in fast-moving environments

Education

  • Relevant practical experience preferred
  • Certifications (e.g., OSHA) advantageous but not required
