We’re partnering with a leading advanced materials and engineered solutions manufacturer seeking Process Engineers to join their team in the Chatsworth, CA area. This full-time role will focus on developing and optimizing manufacturing processes, driving efficiency, and ensuring high-quality production standards. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a collaborative mindset to support innovation and growth within a fast-paced environment.

Work Location: Chatsworth, CA (Onsite)
Compensation: Competitive base salary commensurate with relevant experience, annual bonus, & full benefits available

Process Engineer (front end):

  1. Project management to track manufacturing runs and do time studies.
  2. Work with design Engineers to develop and release new manufacturing processes and tooling, with responsibility for implementation on the factory floor.
  3. Become a SME of the current manufacturing processes
  4. Design new and improve existing manufacturing processes and methods, tooling, automation and work instructions, applying Lean and Six Sigma principles.
  5. Able to create Operational Method Sheets
  6. Industrial engineering knowledge to lead continuous improvement in manufacturing runs and any time studies.

Process experience:

  1. Photolithography (resist coating, resist UV exposure, resist development)
  2. Wet chemical cleaning, etching of patterned layers using photolithography techniques
  3. Wet chemical cleaning, plating of blank and patterned layers using photolithography techniques
  4. Dry plasma chemical cleaning, etching and stripping of patterned layers
  5. Metrology and inspection techniques characterizing thickness, surface topology, width in the micrometer range

Desirable Previous Industry:

  1. Semiconductor, PCB, Flex, MEMS, Sensors manufacturing

Process Engineer (back end):

  1. Project management to track manufacturing runs and do time studies.
  2. Work with design Engineers to develop and release new manufacturing processes and tooling, with responsibility for implementation on the factory floor.
  3. Become a SME of the current manufacturing processes
  4. Design new and improve existing manufacturing processes and methods, tooling, automation and work instructions, applying Lean and Six Sigma principles.
  5. Able to create Operational Method Sheets
  6. Industrial engineering knowledge to lead continuous improvement in manufacturing runs and any time studies.

Process experience:

  1. Solder mask photolithography (solder mask coating, solder mask exposure, solder mask development)
  2. Solder paste preparation, cleaning (flux), dispensing, wetting (adhesion to materials), baking
  3. Welding, soldering, reflow soldering (vapor phase and conveyor oven)
  4. Wet cleaning technologies (ultrasound, chemical surfactant, drying, outgassing)
  5. Dry cleaning technologies (plasma, atmospheric plasma, ionization)
  6. Metrology and inspection techniques characterizing thickness, surface topology, roughness, adhesion, hardness, voids (X-ray, SAM,…)
  7. (optional) electrical testing
