This individual will serve as a senior technical resource responsible for designing, implementing, administering, and optimizing infrastructure across cloud and on-premises environments. Although the position includes traditional infrastructure responsibilities—including virtualization, Windows Server, backup, and Citrix—Microsoft Azure will be the primary focus.
The engineer will lead cloud initiatives, support infrastructure modernization, and collaborate with Architecture, Security, Networking, Application, and global IT teams to deliver secure, scalable, and highly available solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, administer, and optimize Microsoft Azure and hybrid cloud environments.

  • Lead Azure migrations, cloud modernization programs, and infrastructure transformation projects.
  • Administer Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy, Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM), and System Center Operations Manager (SCOM).
  • Support VMware vSphere and ESXi environments hosting business-critical workloads.
  • Administer Cisco HyperFlex and Cisco UCS infrastructure.
  • Manage enterprise backup, recovery, replication, and disaster recovery solutions using Cohesity or comparable platforms.
  • Administer Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops environments.
  • Manage infrastructure lifecycles, including upgrades, patching, capacity planning, and performance optimization.
  • Monitor infrastructure health and availability, troubleshoot complex production issues, and conduct root-cause analysis.
  • Partner with Security, Networking, Architecture, Application, and global IT teams on enterprise initiatives.
  • Lead infrastructure projects and provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, infrastructure standards, and operating procedures.
  • Participate in disaster recovery planning, testing, and business continuity initiatives.
  • Coordinate technical activities with vendors, consultants, and international IT teams.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation supporting production systems.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 7–10 years of enterprise infrastructure engineering experience.
  • Extensive hands-on experience designing, implementing, administering, and supporting Microsoft Azure and hybrid cloud environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure networking, virtual machines, storage, identity, monitoring, governance, and security.
  • Extensive experience supporting Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy, MECM, and SCOM.
  • Strong VMware vSphere and ESXi administration experience.
  • Experience supporting Cisco HyperFlex and Cisco UCS or comparable converged infrastructure.
  • Experience administering Cohesity or a comparable enterprise backup and recovery platform.
  • Experience supporting Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise compute, storage, virtualization, networking, and cloud technologies.
  • Demonstrated success leading infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and modernization projects.
  • Advanced troubleshooting, communication, documentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Experience working within large, complex enterprise environments.
  • Ability to participate in an on-call rotation.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally on an occasional basis.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Microsoft Azure certifications, such as Azure Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect, or Azure Security Engineer.
  • VMware Certified Professional (VCP) certification.
  • CCNA or a comparable networking certification.
  • Cohesity certification or advanced experience with enterprise backup technologies.
  • Citrix certification or advanced Citrix administration experience.
  • Experience supporting hybrid cloud architecture within a global enterprise.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, engineering, or other technology-intensive environments.
  • Project leadership experience or PMP certification.
  • Understanding of enterprise systems and application architecture.
  • Experience integrating on-premises infrastructure with cloud and SaaS platforms.
  • Additional language skills supporting collaboration with international teams are a plus.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a senior infrastructure engineer who has built and supported enterprise Microsoft environments with Azure at the center of their expertise. This individual can lead cloud initiatives, establish Azure best practices, and serve as a technical authority for hybrid infrastructure while collaborating effectively across regional and global teams.

Highly qualified candidates will bring substantial Azure architecture and administration experience, successful cloud migration leadership, broad hybrid infrastructure expertise, and the ability to provide senior-level technical direction in a complex enterprise environment.
