The HT Group has partnered with a financial services institution to hire a Senior Deposit Operations Manager to lead and evolve our Deposit Operations team. This role will play a critical part in overseeing essential back-office banking functions, modernizing operational processes, and guiding a growing team through a period of transformation and efficiency gains.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Deposit Operations team, with a focus on in-house, manual processing functions that have not yet been transitioned to outsourced platforms.
- Oversee all functions of payment operations and core support services, including ACH, wires, mobile/ATM deposits, debit card processing, fraud/forgery, and exception item handling.
- Promote relevant banking products and services based on customer needs.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and technical guidance to the team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and professional development.
- Serve as system administrator for department platforms, managing user access and coordinating recordings with IT and Communications.
- Identify operational inefficiencies and drive the migration of select manual processes to outsourced solutions over the next 12–18 months.
- Generate and distribute customer statements, credit bureau reports, CP insurance files, and account analysis statements.
- Administer Remote Deposit Now (RDN) product—maintain procedures, enroll new users, and provide training.
- Partner with senior leadership to modernize and optimize banking operations while maintaining a high standard of service delivery and risk management.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies across all operational functions.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and escalation point for complex issues related to deposit operations.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in banking, with a strong background in deposit operations and back-office processing.
- In-depth knowledge of:
- ACH systems and processes
- Wire transfers (domestic and international)
- Debit card operations
- Treasury management products and services
- Proven leadership experience, ideally in a management role within a large regional bank or financial institution.
- Familiar with bank equipment to include teller cash recyclers, coin counters, coin rollers, ATMs, safes, vaults, drive-thru equipment, etc.
- Strong understanding of operational risk, compliance requirements, and banking regulations.
- Experience managing and supporting team transformation and change management initiatives.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team-building skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities with confidence.
