The HT Group is seeking a Reverse Engineer/CAD Designer to create accurate 3D models and technical drawings from existing parts, assemblies, and scan data. This position works closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to develop and maintain high-quality CAD models and documentation.
- Contract-to-hire opportunity
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00AM – 3:30PM
- Hourly pay rate is dependent on experience
Responsibilities
- Create 3D CAD models and detailed drawings using SolidWorks
- Reverse engineer existing components and assemblies from physical parts, measurements, and scan data
- Verify model accuracy and maintain engineering documentation
- Support engineering and manufacturing projects as needed
Requirements:
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software, preferably SolidWorks
- Strong mechanical drafting, design, or manufacturing experience
- Experience with reverse engineering is highly preferred
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Experience with CMMs and/or Geomagic is a plus
- Familiarity with 3D scanning and GD&T is beneficial
Note: We are specifically seeking candidates with mechanical drafting, design, manufacturing, or reverse engineering experience.
Experience limited to piping, structural, civil, or architectural drafting will not be directly applicable to this role.
