Position: QC Supervisor – Mechanical, Duct, Piping (MDP)

Position Overview We are seeking a Quality Control Supervisor – MDP to lead on-site quality inspections related to mechanical, ductwork, and piping installations. You will collaborate with construction teams and subcontractors to ensure full compliance with codes, specs, and project requirements—driving accountability and consistent quality across all MDP-related activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Mechanical Quality Inspections:
Oversee MDP inspection progress, review inspection documents, and confirm inspection requests on-site.
Provide corrective feedback to construction teams and subcontractors and verify all changes before client-facing inspections. - Manage Nonconformance (NCR) Issues:
Address and resolve nonconformities during inspections, manage punch lists, and ensure timely documentation and closure.
Implement preventative measures to avoid repeated issues. - Material & Shop Oversight:
Conduct quality checks on shop-fabricated materials, incoming equipment, and subcontractor workmanship.
Monitor storage practices and remove substandard or non-compliant materials. - Regulatory Compliance:
Support inspections and interactions with local authorities (e.g., City of Taylor) and ensure adherence to jurisdictional requirements. - Additional Support:
Contribute to overall project quality initiatives and assume other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- 5–10 years of hands-on experience in mechanical/duct/piping quality control within industrial construction projects
- Strong knowledge of relevant codes and standards (ASME, API, etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret DWG and technical documentation
- Proven track record managing subcontractors and inspection processes
- Highly organized, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, multicultural environment
- Strong analytical, communication, and follow-up skills
- Proficiency in MS Office
Preferred Experience & Certifications
- QA/QC background in projects over $50M
- Experience in semiconductor, oil & gas, or advanced manufacturing plant builds
- Familiarity with Trimble software
- Electrician or mechanical licenses/certifications a plus
- Previous work in multicultural, international environments
Additional Requirements
- Able to commute daily to the field office in Taylor, TX
- Willing to work overtime or weekends as needed for project demands
