Portfolio Project Manager (Security Organization) – Part-Time (25–35 Hours/Week)
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Portfolio Project Manager (PPM) to support the Security organization on a part-time basis (25–35 hours per week). This role will oversee multiple concurrent initiatives, maintain the Security team’s weekly operating model, and support critical continuity and resilience planning efforts for 2026.
The ideal candidate brings strong Agile delivery experience, applied understanding of AI, use of GPT, and AI development tools, exceptional organizational skills, fluency in business continuity practices, advanced data analysis capabilities, and experience in the banking/financial services sector.

Key Responsibilities
Portfolio & Project Management

  • Oversee 4–5 concurrent security-related projects, ensuring alignment with timelines, scope, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Develop and manage project plans, RAID logs, and executive-level status reporting.
  • Draft clear, concise communications to senior stakeholders and cross-functional partners.
  • Maintain the Security organization’s annual training schedule, ensuring compliance and visibility.

Agile Delivery & Backlog Management

  • Lead sprint ceremonies (planning, standups, reviews, retrospectives).
  • Manage and prioritize backlogs in collaboration with product owners and stakeholders.
  • Drive delivery discipline, transparency, and continuous improvement.

Continuity & Resilience (2026 Planning Support)

  • Support the development and execution of the 2026 Continuity Plan.
  • Assist with and facilitate Business Impact Analysis (BIA) reviews.
  • Lead business continuity plan review meetings as part of project workload.
  • Ensure documentation and processes align with regulatory and internal requirements.
  • Contribute to resilience strategy and operational preparedness efforts.

Data Analytics & GPT Enablement

  • Analyze data outputs from security and operational reports.
  • Develop structured insights and executive-ready summaries based on report findings.
  • Create and utilize custom GPTs to streamline data analysis, reporting, and operational efficiency.
  • Leverage automation and AI tools to improve workflow efficiency within the Security portfolio.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of project or portfolio management experience.
  • Proven experience operating within a Security, AI, Risk, or Technology organization.
  • Strong Agile experience, including sprint facilitation and backlog management.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and conducting BIA reviews.
  • Advanced data analysis skills; comfortable interpreting structured and semi-structured datasets.
  • Hands-on experience creating and using GPTs (or similar AI tools) to support analysis and workflow automation.
  • Experience in the banking or financial services industry.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to draft executive-ready materials.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Security Governance or Operational Risk programs.
  • Familiarity with regulatory expectations in financial services (e.g., FFIEC, OCC, Federal Reserve, etc.).
  • PMP, PMI-ACP, SAFe, or similar certifications.
  • Business Continuity certification (e.g., CBCP) preferred.
