Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated individual to join our team as an IT Asset Disposal Specialist. This entry-level position is perfect for someone eager to start a career in IT asset management and gain hands-on experience. The role involves securely handling IT equipment and ensuring proper data destruction, recycling, or donation of devices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform data destruction on computers and other IT equipment following established protocols.
- Collaborate with the IT Asset Management team to track and manage inventory.
- Work closely with personnel to coordinate recycling or donation of devices.
- Maintain accurate records and track data using Excel spreadsheets.
- Follow documented procedures and adhere to company policies for IT asset disposal.
Ideal Candidate Requirements:
- Entry-level position; prior experience is not required.
- A+ certification or equivalent foundational IT knowledge preferred.
- Basic proficiency in Excel (e.g., data entry, sorting, basic formulas).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally via email and in person.
- Trainable, detail-oriented, and able to follow instructions accurately.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn from team members and procedure documentation.
This position will be onsite Monday – Friday with the work hours set from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.
