About the Role
As a Sales Representative, your primary role is to maintain and grow relationships with existing clients who use the company’s waste management services. These services include trash collection, recycling, composting, and portable sanitation solutions for businesses, construction sites, municipalities, and events.
Daily Responsibilities
• Client Engagement: Regularly visit current customers in your assigned territory to ensure their needs are met and to identify opportunities for additional services.
• Issue Resolution: Address and resolve any escalated concerns or service issues promptly to maintain customer satisfaction
• Account Monitoring: Keep track of customer accounts to anticipate contract renewals, service changes, or potential issues
• Communication: Respond to customer inquiries via phone or email by the end of the next business day
• Collaboration: Work closely with Account Managers to transition new accounts after a 90-day period
Required Skills & Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Reliable transportation for travel to customer/prospect sites
• Professional appearance and phone etiquette
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Detail-oriented with a strong work ethic and adaptability
• Analytical thinking and effective problem-solving abilities
• Ability to collaborate well with internal teams across all levels
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
• Associate or bachelor’s degree
• Experience using a CRM or prospect database
Licenses & Certifications
• Valid Class C driver’s license
• Clean driving record for the past three years
Compensation and Benefits
• Base Salary: $40,000–$50,000, with on-target earnings (OTE) of $90,000–$100,000+ after commission
• Perks & Equipment: Includes gas reimbursement, laptop, cell phone, and all necessary equipment for a home office setup
• Work Environment: Primarily remote with B2B travel within the assigned territory. Occasional in-office training or meetings in Creedmoor; 1–2 times per week during ramp-up, then scaling back to 1–2 times per month (flexible based on commute)
