Overview
We are seeking an experienced Oracle EBS R12 Technical Consultant for a 1–2 year engagement on a highly customized on-prem EBS R12.0.6 environment. Requirements are already defined — this role owns the technical design and hands-on build. The majority of the day will be spent coding: developing RICEFW components, building and exposing REST APIs, and integrating EBS with external and Oracle Forms-based systems.
The ideal candidate has deep technical expertise in core Supply Chain Management (SCM) modules, with a primary focus on Order Management and Manufacturing, and is comfortable working independently in a heavily customized codebase.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy RICEFW (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Extensions, Forms, Workflows) components
- Utilize standard and custom Oracle APIs to build tailored system extensions
- Design, develop, and deploy custom REST APIs to enable real-time integration between Oracle EBS and external systems, including Oracle Forms-based integrations
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues across all lifecycle environments (Test, UAT, Production)
- Collaborate with business analysts, stakeholders, and DBAs to deliver complex ERP solutions within an Agile/Scrum framework
Required Technical Skills
- Deep knowledge of Order Management (OM), Bills of Materials (BOM), Work in Process (WIP), and Shipping Execution (WSH), including underlying tables, views, standard APIs, and concurrent programs
- Expertise in Oracle PL/SQL, SQL, SQL*Loader, Forms, Reports, Workflow Builder, and BI/XML Publisher
- Proven track record working with standard API/interfaces in Oracle EBS (OM/WIP/Shipping)
- Solid experience exposing standard and custom PL/SQL APIs as functional REST services via JSON/XML payloads
- Proficient in SQL and PL/SQL performance tuning using EXPLAIN PLAN, TKPROF, and SQL Trace
- Mandatory hands-on experience with on-prem Oracle EBS R12.0.6
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
- Hands-on experience with Java and Python for standalone utilities or extensions
- Familiarity with Terraform or infrastructure-as-code tooling in an on-prem/hybrid Oracle environment
- Experience with additional Oracle modules such as Web and Shipping beyond core WSH functionality
Qualifications
- Minimum 5–7 years of technical experience in an Oracle EBS R12 environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Proficient in Agile/Scrum development methodologies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional ERP teams
