The HT Group has a life insurance client in Austin, TX looking for a New Business Specialist who is detail-oriented, proactive, and customer-focused to support the end-to-end processing of life insurance applications while building trusted relationships with producers, clients, and internal teams. This role plays a key part in ensuring applications are submitted accurately and efficiently, and that all underwriting requirements are fulfilled in a timely manner.
Contract-to-hire
$20-$23/hr DOE
Responsibilities:
- Review life insurance applications for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with company policies
- Conduct initial assessments and make independent decisions within established guidelines
- Order and follow up on underwriting requirements with vendors and producers
- Maintain strong relationships with producers, field offices, and internal stakeholders
- Provide exceptional customer service through phone, email, and written communication
- Resolve issues or concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring follow-through
- Oversee final policy packet assembly, mailing, and tracking
- Meet production and quality standards set by the department
- Support additional projects or tasks as assigned
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in life insurance new business processing or case management
- Proven ability to build and manage relationships with producers and customers
- Excellent communication skills with empathy and professionalism
- Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities
- Self-starter who works well both independently and in team environments
- Adaptability and eagerness to learn in a fast-paced environment
- A college degree is preferred but not required
