The HT Group is partnering with a reputable law firm in Houston seeking a Marketing and Business Development Coordinator to join their team onsite. This role is ideal for a self-starter with legal marketing experience who thrives in a collaborative environment and excels at managing deadlines, building trust, and providing experience working alongside the Partners who are creating pitches that are aimed at their own potential client’s interests/needs. This person will have to know the types of questions to ask to harness the Partner’s vision, create the pitch deck, and bring the pitch back to the Partner to make the vision come to life.  The candidate needs to be confident in their ability to communicate with the Partners on a personal and professional level.

 This position does require 1-3 years of experience working in a law firm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recent law firm marketing experience is necessary
  • Passion for business development over marketing preferred
  • Involvement in Legal Marketing Association is highly valued
  • Experience with RFPs and pitch materials is necessary and a large portion of this position
  • Digital marketing experience while appreciated is not the primary focus of this position
    • Firm can utilize third party agencies to help with those factors
  • Confidence in engaging with partners to accomplish their goals is a large focus of this position
  • Ideas from past experiences are appreciated but it will be encouraged that this position mold to the preferences of the partners and firm
  • A customer service personality is necessary
  • Collaborate with attorneys and leadership to develop and execute marketing and business development initiatives
  • Conduct market research and analysis to support firm-wide and practice-specific growth strategies
  • Monitor external and internal trends to identify and develop new market segments
  • Maintain strong relationships with third-party vendors, contractors, and industry organizations to support the firm’s client service mission
  • Manage and update the firm’s social media presence; contribute insights to improve SEO strategies
  • Develop public relations content such as thought leadership articles, press releases, attorney bios, advertisements, and newsletters
  • Coordinate events and sponsorships that promote the firm and support client development goals

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field
  • 2–5 years of experience in Marketing, Business Development, Recruiting, or a related field
  • 1–3 years of experience working in the legal industry is required
  • Demonstrated ability to manage social media accounts and basic SEO knowledge
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, WordPress, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and social media platforms
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Involvement in the Legal Marketing Association (LMA) is preferred
