The HT Group is currently seeking a Junior Estimator/Estimator who is motivated, detail-oriented and looking to be part of a successful commercial team in Buda, TX. This direct-hire position offers an excellent opportunity to work with an estimating department of professionals across Texas to assist in bid management, preparation, and collaboration within a dynamic construction environment.

Location: On-site M-F (Buda, TX)
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and organize bids using the company’s ERP software system
- Send and receive Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Information (RFIs)
- Prepare take-offs using company software (STACK)
- Assist with bid preparation in Excel
- Process and create change orders
- Collaborate with the estimating team to ensure accurate and timely submission of bids
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2-3 years Commercial Estimating experience
- Strong understanding of construction takeoffs and the ability to interpret and apply construction specifications. Experience in Masonry, Landscaping, or Irrigation is preferred
- Experience with high-volume commercial bidding processes for public and private projects over $1M (specifications, RFIs, qualification packets, bonding, etc.)
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, and pivot tables) and Takeoff software (Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Stack, etc.)
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy is critical
Education:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. with additional education in Project Management or Construction Science is preferred
- At least 2-3 years of construction experience may substitute for formal education in construction science.
