This is a full-time opportunity; ideally looking for a candidate in the southeastern United States as the main locations are in Alabama, North Carolina, and Mississippi. Will primarily be remote, with some occasional travel.

We are partnering with a dynamic and rapidly growing insurance distribution platform backed by an experienced private equity sponsor. Since its inception in 2019, the company has scaled significantly through strategic acquisitions and organic growth. With a strong acquisition pipeline and a hands-on leadership team, the organization is poised for continued expansion across multiple U.S. markets.
This is a unique opportunity for an entrepreneurial IT Manager who thrives in fast-paced, acquisitive environments. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise, proven experience in IT systems integration during M&A transactions, and ideally, familiarity with insurance agency management software.

What You’ll Do:

  • Own and Manage IT Infrastructure: Lead day-to-day operations of networks, cloud services, endpoints, and internal systems across multiple locations.
  • M&A IT Integration: Collaborate with leadership and integration teams to assess, plan, and execute IT integration for new acquisitions.
  • End-User Support: Deliver hands-on technical support to employees, ensuring timely resolution of hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Cybersecurity & Compliance: Oversee security protocols, system backups, encryption, and compliance standards across the organization.
  • Vendor & Asset Management: Maintain relationships with IT vendors, manage procurement, and oversee the full lifecycle of IT assets.
  • System Optimization: Evaluate and implement improvements to enhance system performance, scalability, and security.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with senior leadership, operations, and third-party advisors to align IT strategy with business goals.
  • Disaster Recovery: Design and maintain disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity.

Who You Are:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT management, preferably in a high-growth or private equity-backed business.
  • Strong technical foundation in systems administration, networking, cloud platforms, and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Demonstrated success in managing IT integration for M&A transactions.
  • Familiarity with insurance agency management systems (Applied Epic, AMS360, or HawkSoft) is a major plus.
  • Comfortable supporting multi-site operations and hybrid work environments.
  • Proficient with technologies such as Windows Server environments, SSO, MDM, IAM, and VoIP (e.g. GoTo Connect).
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical issues into business language.
  • Self-starter with a hands-on mindset and strong organizational and project management abilities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
