The HT Group is hiring an HR Generalist for our client in The Woodlands. This is a long-term contract role anticipated to run through the end of 2026, with the potential for extension. The position follows a hybrid schedule, requiring in-office attendance on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday (no exceptions). The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of experience in an HR Generalist capacity. This is a highly tactical, hands-on role focused on day-to-day HR operations rather than strategic planning.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary HR contact for assigned site(s), addressing day-to-day HR matters and providing timely guidance to leaders and employees
- Partner with leaders to manage employee relations issues, including investigations, corrective actions, performance improvement plans, and conflict resolution
- Collaborate with HRBPs to ensure alignment and visibility into key initiatives and workforce matters within supported client groups
- Administer leave and total absence management programs, partnering with leaders, employees, and medical providers to ensure compliance and a positive employee experience
- Oversee time and attendance processes, providing guidance to leadership and ensuring accurate and consistent practices
- Support accommodations, performance objectives, disciplinary actions, and compensation-related activities
- Manage operational HR support for assigned site, with a strong focus on a large hourly employee population
Requirements:
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 3 years in an HR Generalist role
- Strong HR professional with a customer-focused approach and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment; oil & gas or manufacturing experience preferred but not required
- Solid background in employee relations
- Team-oriented, proactive, and people-focused with a hands-on mindset
