The HT Group has partnered with a growing, PE-backed manufacturing entity based in the Charlotte area in the search for a qualified Chief Financial Officer for an immediate need. Reporting to the CEO, the this individual will play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s strategy and will contribute to the overall growth and success of the company. They will lead a team of individuals across finance, and accounting with the potential to absorb the management of the IT function in the future, with frequent exposure to the company’s CEO, Leadership Team and Board of Directors.

What you will do:

  • Responsible for proactively monitoring, driving, and reporting the financial performance of the business in accordance with GAAP and external lender requirements.
  • Preparing and presenting month-end financials and reporting packages for internal leadership, Board of Directors and external lender.
  • Driving financial performance through commercial analytics, pricing and sales support
  • Managing cash including the monitoring of receivables, complying with debt covenants, and paying vendors on time.
  • Enabling an infrastructure for growth by enhancing visibility, driving disciplined routines and streamlining processes across all functions of the business.
  • Partner with the CEO and Leadership team on company-wide initiatives and daily execution.
  • Leading and driving efficiency initiatives across the organization, while also directly supporting & partnering with the CEO and Leadership team.
  • Managing Annual Budget and Planning Process, including deployment of financial targets and tracking execution.
  • Preparing detailed financial models, quantitative and qualitative analyses with strong focus on commercial analytics.
  • Developing and managing new financial systems, policies and processes to increase visibility, drive cost-reduction and to enhance operating efficiencies across all departments in the business.
  • Preparing board presentations, conducting ad hoc analysis and project updates on top priority strategic initiatives.
  • Presenting financial results at quarterly board and senior leadership meetings, including risks, opportunities, and recommendations to improve and manage financial performance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. Master’s degree and/or CPA preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role (e.g., CFO, VP Finance) required.
  • 5+ years of experience in Corporate FP&A for a manufacturing company required.
  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Excel and MS Dynamics/D365 required.
  • Ability to problem-solve, work well under pressure and deliver results.
  • 25% travel required.
