Chief Executive Officer — Field-Services & Contracting Company
Seguin, Texas | South-Central Texas

About the Opportunity
Our client is a family-owned field-services and contracting business with a workforce of roughly 50 employees. Built on dirt work, excavation, and concrete expertise, the company is ready for its next stage of growth. Ownership is seeking a hands-on CEO to run daily operations, build financial and operational discipline, and lead disciplined, profitable growth — allowing the owners to focus on the fieldwork they do best.

The Role
Reporting to the ownership team (acting as the board), the CEO will own full P&L responsibility across finance, operations, people, and growth strategy. This is a primarily office-based leadership role with limited travel across Texas and New Mexico.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day operations; build clear decision rights, accountability, and management routines
  • Partner with owners on strategy, budgets, capital decisions, and growth priorities
  • Drive financial visibility: job costing, cash-flow forecasting, margin analysis, and reporting
  • Improve profitability through estimating, pricing, scheduling, and project execution discipline
  • Build scalable systems, controls, and dashboards
  • Develop and hold accountable a strong management team
  • Diversify the customer base and reduce revenue concentration
  • Pursue growth opportunities, including data center construction and adjacent sectors (commercial, K-12, sitework)

Candidate Profile

  • Senior P&L leadership in a project-based, blue-collar field-services or specialty-contracting business (civil/site, oilfield services, infrastructure, landscaping, facilities, etc.)
  • Strong command of job costing, cash conversion, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Proven track record building systems, controls, and accountability in a growing organization
  • Credibility leading both field and office teams
  • Demonstrated success driving profitable growth and customer diversification
  • Hands-on, low-ego, financially disciplined leadership style; strong cultural fit with a family-owned business

Compensation
Competitive executive base salary, commensurate with experience, plus meaningful uncapped performance incentives tied to profitable growth and bottom-line results.
