Associate, AI Technology Transformation
 
REPORTS / RELATIONSHIPS:
The Associate, Technology Transformation will be a member of our client’s Portfolio Support Group (PSG). This role is ideal for someone who is intellectually curious, analytical, and excited about using technology and AI to solve real business problems. The Associate will work closely with client’s investment and portfolio operations teams, as well as management teams across their portfolio companies, supporting technology-driven value creation initiatives. This position reports to the VP of Portfolio Initiatives and Integration.
 
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Associate, Technology Transformation will help identify, evaluate, and implement technology and AI solutions across client’s portfolio companies, with the primary responsibilities focused on building & delivering technology solutions or partnering with vendors. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain exposure to private equity, business operations, technology transformation, and AI adoption while working directly with business leaders and operators.
 
The ideal candidate enjoys solving problems, learning new technologies, and working in fast-paced environments where they can make a tangible impact. This individual will support projects from initial research and business case development through implementation and performance measurement.
 
LOCATION:
This position will be based in Atlanta, GA. For the first 90 to 120 days, candidates will be required to spend significant time at their headquarters in Neptune Beach, FL to build relationships with the team, gain a clear understanding of the role, and ensure alignment with the firm’s Philosophy of Engagement. Thereafter, candidate will periodically travel to client with more regular travel to portfolio companies
 
RESPONSIBILITIES
Technology Research & Evaluation

  • Research emerging AI and technology solutions and stay up to date on existing technologies that may create operational efficiencies or revenue opportunities across portfolio companies
  • Participate in vendor demonstrations, product evaluations, industry events, and market research activities
  • Develop a point of view on which technologies are best for given use cases
  • Analyze business processes and identify opportunities for automation, digitization, and process improvement
  • Assist in evaluating technology solutions based on expected ROI, implementation complexity, and business impact

Technology Implementation & Project Support

  • Support implementation of approved technology initiatives across portfolio companies both as the primary developer or as a partner in the development process
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, portfolio company teams, and external vendors for requirements, testing, sign-off and general project management either as the primary point or as a key player
  • Assist with user adoption efforts, training materials, and change management activities
  • Monitor implementation results and document lessons learned and best practices

Business Analysis & Financial Modeling

  • Assist in developing business cases and ROI analyses for proposed technology investments
  • Gather baseline operational and financial metrics to measure project success in partnership with the portfolio company(-ies) and the broader client team
  • Build and maintain spreadsheets, dashboards, and reports that track technology initiative performance
  • Support portfolio company management teams in evaluating expected business outcomes and implementation costs

Portfolio Support & Knowledge Sharing

  • Help document successful technology implementations and create repeatable playbooks for use across the portfolio
  • Maintain a library of vendor information, implementation resources, and best practices
  • Support portfolio-wide technology assessments and benchmarking initiatives
  • Contribute to AI and technology adoption efforts within client and its portfolio companies

Reporting & Communication

  • Prepare presentations, reports, and project updates for portfolio company leadership and client stakeholders
  • Track and communicate key performance indicators and project outcomes
  • Help quantify operational improvements and financial impact resulting from technology initiatives

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field
  • 2–4 years of professional experience in consulting, technology, business operations, analytics, project management, private equity operations, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to break down complex business challenges
  • Demonstrated interest and execution (personal and professional) in AI, technology, automation, and digital transformation
  • Experience conducting research, analyzing data, and developing business recommendations
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience with financial modeling or business analysis preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with stakeholders at various levels of an organization
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Intellectual curiosity, a willingness to learn, and comfort working in ambiguous environments
  • Exposure to management consulting, technology consulting, private equity, portfolio operations, or high-growth businesses is a plus
  • Experience with AI tools, automation platforms, business intelligence tools, CRM systems, ERP systems, or workflow software is a plus
  • Willingness to travel as needed across the portfolio (25-50%)
