The HT Group has a commercial construction client in Austin, TX looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist / Administrative Assistant who is organized, adaptable, and detail-oriented to support accounting operations and general office administration in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Contract-to-hire
Onsite- Austin, TX- 78752
35 hours a week- Monday-Friday 8AM-4PM
$25-$35/hr DOE
Responsibilities:
- Process and track subcontractor and supplier invoices; manage AP/AR entries and reconciliations
- Set up new vendors, manage COIs, handle credit memos, and maintain accurate records
- Perform credit card and expense reconciliations and respond to vendor inquiries
- Assist with GL reconciliations, reporting, and support minimal monthly close processes
- Answer main phone line, manage mail, maintain office supplies, and support office events
- Collaborate with internal teams and contribute to both accounting and administrative functions
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in Accounts Payable/Receivable and data entry
- Strong Excel and Word skills; familiarity with Sage Intacct Construction and/or ProCore a plus
- Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to multitask
- High attention to detail and critical thinking skills; construction industry experience highly preferred
