The HT Group has partnered with a growing, privately-held, software firm located in SW Austin (hybrid) in the search for a qualified Accounting Manager/Controller, preferably with experience in smaller, start-up settings for an immediate need. Our client is looking for a self-starter with a solid mix of GL management and operations finance/light FP&A experience in a growing company setting.
This individual will be supporting the firm’s ownership to provide more consistent financial reporting and operational efficiencies.
Direct Hire – Base salary up to $120K+ bonus/Solid benefits/Unlimited PTO – SW Austin (3 days/week in-office)
What you will do:
- Prepare and post monthly journal entries for recurring transactions.
- Manage month/quarterly/year-end closes.
- Providing detailed reporting pertaining to sales, client retention, and cashflow for leadership.
- Annual budgeting/forecasting.
- Manage monthly leadership reporting package.
- Analyze and review outlined expenses prior to month-end closing.
- Managing AP, AR, billing/invoice, and in-house payroll functions.
- Perform bank reconciliations.
- Gather documentation for annual audit.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related area required.
- 8+ years relevant accounting experience working in preferably for a growth/start-up setting required.
- Experience managing end-to-end month/quarter/year-end closes required.
- Experience producing comprehensive financial reporting packages for leadership.
- QuickBooks Online or Desktop software experience required.
- Intermediate-to-advanced MS Excel proficiency required.
- Needing a direct communicator who can hold teams accountable.
- High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and time management skills.
