The HT Group is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accountant for our client in Beaumont. Ideal for a professional with strong technical accounting skills and hands-on experience in the construction industry.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and produce accurate monthly financial statements
- Perform reconciliations to the general ledger
- Manage and analyze Work in Progress (WIP) schedules using POC method
- Assist with cash flow management and margin reporting
- Support internal financial controls and reporting processes
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Construction Management – REQUIRED
- Construction industry experience
- Strong understanding of WIP and POC, cost accounting
- Medium to high proficiency in Microsoft Excel (will be tested), including:
- Building worksheets/workbooks (cash flow, margin reports, etc.)
- VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP – testing during client interview
- Pivot Tables
- Advanced formulas and financial functions
Preferred:
- Experience creating financial graphs and visual reports
- Experience with construction accounting software preferred
Employment Type: Temp to hire positon
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00AM – 4:00PM
Compensation: $30+hr DOE
