The HT Group is currently assisting one of our Northwest Austin clients in the search for an experienced Sr. Accounting Manager for an immediate need. This role will manage the firm’s Corporate Accounting team and processes and will partner with internal groups in Operations, Treasury, M&A, Human Resources, Payroll, Tax, Revenue, and Real Estate.
Direct Hire – Hybrid (NW Austin Location) – Base range up to $150K + 15% bonus DOE
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Direct and lead the overall strategic vision and performance of the Corporate Accounting Team.
- Manage assigned aspects of external and internal audit activities.
- Management and oversight of the monthly, quarterly and yearly close process.
- Manage the monthly reporting and analysis of certain key balance sheet and income statement accounts.
- Maintain and update internal SOX documentation and controls, reconciliations, monitor operational/industry/regulatory changes and develop new processes.
- Lead the performance management, development and education of assigned team members (6 Direct Reports).
- Manage and review of staff prepared reconciliations, journal entries, and account analysis.
- Provide support on ad-hoc projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
- Active CPA required.
- Minimum of 7 years of combined public accounting/industry experience required.
- 2+ years of management/supervisory experience required.
- Oracle ERP experience highly preferred.
- Experience interfacing with external and internal auditors.
- Advanced MS Excel proficiency.
