The HT Group is seeking a friendly and professional Receptionist to join our client’s office in Port Arthur, TX. This is a long-term contract opportunity, with potential to go perm as the company looks to ensure the right long-term fit. The position pays $13–$15 per hour and follows a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:30AM to 5:00PM with a lunch break from 12:00PM to 1:00PM.
This role will serve as the first point of contact for visitors and clients and will play an important part in maintaining a professional and organized office environment while supporting the team with administrative tasks.
Responsibilities
- Manage the front desk and greet all visitors entering the office
- Serve as the first point of contact for guests and clients
- Answer incoming phone calls, assist with questions, and route calls to the appropriate team members
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail and distribute it within the office
- Process postage and shipping for documents and packages
- Maintain and organize office supplies
- Assist with filing and documentation, including certifications and important records
Qualifications
- Previous receptionist or front desk experience preferred
- Friendly, welcoming personality with strong customer service skills
- Professional communication skills, both in person and over the phone
- Comfortable engaging with visitors while they wait
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Dependable and reliable

Our client is looking for candidates interested in building a long-term career in the insurance industry. Over time, the right candidate may have the opportunity to obtain an insurance license and assist with additional insurance-related tasks.
If candidates with prior insurance experience apply, job duties will expand and compensation will be adjusted accordingly.
Preferred background in Property and Casualty Insurance License
