The HT Group is hiring an Mechanical QA/QC Lead for a Construction General Contractor. This role is responsible for conducting inspections, site visits, and reviewing drawings and specifications and manages all quality assurance/control operations to ensure compliance with policies and standards.
Qualifications
- Degree in relevant field preferred; 3+ years in QC supervision and 5+ years in industrial/commercial construction.
- MEP scope on large/complex quality plan implementations with analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Strong leadership skills with ability to delegate and manage time effectively and develop team members on quality processes and risk identification.
- Technology and software proficiency in Procore, Viewpoint, SharePoint
Responsibilities
- Collaborates with project teams and subcontractors to ensure 100% compliant work and promote quality as a core value.
- Develops and enforces project-specific quality management plans, procedures, and DFOW templates.
- Chairs preparatory and quality control meetings, including three-phase inspections and weekly QC/QA coordination.
- Maintains documentation of quality activities, test records, NCRs, and conformance with submittals.
- Identifies risks and deficiencies, provides timely resolutions, and supports risk prevention planning.
- Ensures compliance with safety standards, participates in inspections, and enforces PPE and OSHA requirements.
- Liaises with engineers, consultants, and industry associations, maintaining active professional relationships.
