Position: QC Supervisor – Electrical & Instrumentation

Position Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Control Supervisor (Electrical & Instrumentation) to lead on-site quality inspections, ensure compliance with project standards and codes, and support the successful delivery of complex industrial systems. The ideal candidate will have a background in plant construction, a strong understanding of electrical codes (NEC), and a proven ability to manage subcontractor quality performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Electrical Quality Inspections:
Supervise electrical/control inspections; review inspection documents and validate inspection requests on-site.
Provide feedback and enforce corrections for non-compliance with codes, specs, and procedures.
Approve final inspections before submission to client supervision. - Nonconformance Management:
Identify and manage NCRs and punch items; ensure timely resolution and implementation of preventive measures. - Material & Subcontractor Oversight:
Perform quality checks on incoming materials, shop-fabricated components, and subcontractor installations.
Verify proper material storage conditions and remove substandard materials when necessary. - Regulatory Compliance:
Monitor and support required inspections performed by city and authority-having-jurisdiction (AHJ) entities. - Additional Duties:
Support cross-functional quality activities and take on responsibilities as assigned to ensure continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- 5–10 years of electrical QC or construction experience in large-scale industrial projects (e.g., semiconductor, oil & gas, manufacturing plants)
- Strong knowledge of NEC, electrical/control codes, and QA/QC documentation standards
- Familiarity with technical drawings (DWG)
- Comfortable managing multiple subcontractors and fast-paced schedules
- Proficient in MS Office; experience with Trimble or similar software is a plus
Preferred Experience & Certifications
- QA/QC background on $50M+ projects
- Electrician licenses or certifications (e.g., Master Electrician)
- Experience in international/multicultural environments
- Prior work in semiconductor or mission-critical facilities
Additional Requirements
- Able to commute daily to the project site in Taylor, TX
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed
