The HT Group is partering with a performance manufacturing company to hire a Vice President of Quality to lead quality strategy, systems, and continuous improvement across multiple precision manufacturing facilities and brands. This role will oversee QMS, IATF 16949/ISO 9001 compliance, supplier quality, APQP/PPAP, warranty and field-return analysis, and quality improvement initiatives. The VP of Quality will partner with Operations, Engineering, Sourcing, Sales, and executive leadership to improve product quality, reduce cost of poor quality, and establish consistent quality standards across the organization.

Compensation: $240-260k + bonus
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute an enterprise-wide quality strategy across multiple facilities and brands.
- Own and improve QMS processes and ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and customer requirements.
- Lead audits, certification renewals, CAPA, and corrective action programs.
- Oversee APQP, PPAP, and FMEA for new products and engineering changes.
- Establish and track quality KPIs including scrap, rework, first-pass yield, PPM, warranty returns, and cost of poor quality.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective action for internal, supplier, and customer quality issues.
- Build and lead a multi-site team of quality managers, engineers, and inspection personnel.
- Partner with Engineering on manufacturability, product validation, and testing.
- Lead supplier quality initiatives including audits, scorecards, PPAP, and SCARs.
- Oversee warranty/field-return analysis and drive improvements to reduce recurring failures.
- Standardize inspection, Gauge R&R, calibration, and SPC practices across facilities.
- Support M&A integration, facility start-ups, line transfers, and capacity expansions from a quality perspective.
- Champion Lean/Six Sigma and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
- Serve as the executive contact for customer quality concerns and escalations.
- Manage quality budgets, staffing, capital needs, and reporting to executive leadership.
Qualifications
- 15+ years of progressive quality leadership experience in precision manufacturing, with 5+ years in a senior/executive multi-site quality role.
- Experience in machining, forging, casting, metals, automotive components, or similar manufacturing environments.
- Automotive, powersports, performance automotive, or motorsports experience strongly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing, or related technical field required.
- Strong expertise in IATF 16949, ISO 9001, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, Gauge R&R, and root cause methodologies.
- Experience with ERP/QMS systems and data-driven quality reporting.
- Proven ability to lead multi-site teams, influence executive stakeholders, and drive organizational change.
- CQE/CMQ-OE, Six Sigma Black Belt, and/or IATF 16949 Lead Auditor certification preferred.
- Ability to travel frequently to manufacturing facilities, suppliers, and customers.
