The HT Group is partnering with an aftermarket automotive parts e-commerce organization seeking an experienced Director of Logistics & Freight to lead and optimize its transportation and freight strategy across a multi-site operation.
This is a highly visible leadership role for someone who combines strong parcel and freight expertise with a highly analytical, data-driven approach. The ideal candidate will have experience evaluating carrier performance, negotiating agreements, analyzing shipping data, and identifying opportunities to improve service levels while reducing transportation costs across 8+ different locations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead parcel and freight strategy across multiple locations
• Analyze shipping data, spend, service levels, and carrier performance
• Manage carrier relationships, negotiations, contracts, and RFP processes
• Identify cost-saving and operational improvement opportunities
• Develop and track logistics KPIs and performance metrics
• Partner cross-functionally to improve transportation and distribution processes
• Use data and analytics to support strategic logistics decisions
• Drive continuous improvement and scalability across the freight network
Ideal Background:
• Progressive leadership experience in transportation, freight, logistics, or parcel operations
• Strong experience managing parcel shipments across multiple sites
• Demonstrated carrier negotiation and RFP experience
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn complex transportation data into actionable recommendations
• Experience managing significant freight spend and identifying cost-saving opportunities
• Strong communication, leadership, and cross-functional partnership skills
