Cameron is an Operations Executive who transforms visions by turning them into reality using a collaborative team-based approach combined with data analytics. He thrives on building and leading teams that can identify the unknown, convert chaos into order, solve problems, and establish standards to achieve repeatable quality results. He specializes in solving high impact mission-critical problems and perseveres in difficult situations where outcomes are paramount to success.
Cameron began his career with the Big 5 consulting firms and quickly rose to prominence in networking and IT fields. He soon moved from management consulting into data center operations and helped lead the transformation of Data Foundry through major changes within the data center industry and its move into purpose-built data centers. He is responsible for data center design, construction, operations, and client services for Data Foundry’s data center colocation real estate portfolio. In 2012, Cameron was awarded the prestigious national Data Center Manager of the Year award by the Association for Computer Operations Management (AFCOM).
Combining his experiences in management consulting and data center operations, Cameron has spent the last decade designing, building, and operating Data Foundry’s real estate assets. By identifying problems, applying various processes and procedures to ensure quality operations, and setting standards for the maintenance and repair of critical infrastructure, Cameron reduced both network and facility equipment service interruptions by 75% within 18 months. Cameron established the company standards for data center design, construction, and operations while building 150MW+ of enterprise-level data center assets in both greenfield and live environments.
Cameron earned a Mathematics degree from The University of Texas at Austin. He and his family enjoy movies, playing games, boating, travel, and generally being outdoors.
