The HT Group currently looking for Simultaneous Interpreter who have experience in commercial construction for a multi-billion-dollar semiconductor expansion north of Austin. This is the largest construction project in Texas and one of the largest in the US.  Our client offers 100% paid benefits for you and your family, as well as an opportunity to get paid for working overtime for any hours, worked beyond 8 hours per day. Job Duties:

  • Language Interpretation: Provide real-time interpretation services from Korean to English and vice versa during meetings, discussions, briefings, and site activities.
  • Technical Understanding: Familiarize yourself with construction-related terminology, jargon, and safety protocols to ensure accurate interpretation within the context of the construction site.
  • Communication Facilitation: Bridge language gaps between Korean-speaking project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Document Translation: Translate written documents, plans, reports, and safety guidelines as needed to support the project’s documentation requirements.
  • Availability: Be flexible with working hours, as construction projects may require interpretation services during evenings, weekends, or overtime.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a simultaneous interpreter, preferably in construction or related fields.
  • Fluency in both Korean and English, with exceptional verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
  • Knowledge of construction terminology and safety protocols is highly advantageous.
  • Certification or relevant training in interpretation is a plus.
  • Proficient with the use of office equipment and Microsoft Office
  • Proven experience as a simultaneous interpreter, preferably in construction or related fields.
