Senior / Lead Information Technology Quality Assurance Analyst
The Senior/Lead IT Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of enterprise software solutions. This role partners closely with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to design and execute comprehensive testing strategies, drive defect resolution, and continuously improve QA processes within Agile delivery environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business and technical requirements to develop detailed test strategies, test plans, and traceable test cases.
- Execute manual and automated testing to validate functionality, performance, security, and system integrity.
- Design, maintain, and enhance automated test scripts and frameworks to improve test coverage and efficiency.
- Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects using tools such as JIRA or Azure DevOps, ensuring timely resolution.
- Collaborate with development and product teams to troubleshoot issues, validate fixes, and support root-cause analysis.
- Perform regression, integration, system, and cross-platform testing across multiple environments.
- Actively participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Ensure QA activities comply with established standards, best practices, and organizational policies.
- Produce clear test execution reports, quality metrics, and risk assessments for technical and business stakeholders.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of requirements management, test traceability matrices, and end-to-end quality validation.
- Hands-on experience with Software and System Development Life Cycles (SDLC), including Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Knowledge of Business Analysis and Project Management principles as they relate to quality planning and delivery.
- Experience with test automation and performance testing tools such as Selenium and LoadRunner (or equivalent).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a strong attention to detail.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree plus a minimum of three (3) years of experience developing and maintaining QA documentation, test strategies, and test execution across diverse technical environments.
- Experience managing version control for QA artifacts and test automation assets.
- ISTQB certification or equivalent testing certification preferred.
