The HT Group has partnered with a high-growth, start-up in the Houston Galleria area supporting the construction sector in the search for a qualified Part-Time/Fractional Bookkeeper for an immediate interim need. Our client is looking for a self-starter with strong GAAP accounting experience, solid detail orientation and accuracy, and a proactive mindset. This individual will be supporting a local team reporting to the firm’s CEO.
Interim/Temporary (1-month+) – $38/hour – Onsite (Galleria; flexible hours) – 20 hours/week
What you will do:
- Prepare and post monthly journal entries for recurring transactions and accruals.
- Review sub ledgers and trial balance
- Record transactions and post to various accounts
- Payment processing
- Conducting daily banking activities
- Ad-hoc financial reporting
- Reconciliation of operations bank statement and multiple investment accounts.
- Gather documentation for annual audit
Qualifications:
- 4+ years relevant Bookkeeping/GL experience in a corporate setting; preferably for a construction entity
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient skills in QuickBooks and intermediate-to-advanced MS Excel proficiency
- High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and time management skills
- Previous start-up experience a plus
