The HT Group has partnered with a growing, Austin, TX-based, eCommerce consumer brand in the search for a qualified Business Development Manager with experience in the packaging/gift box sector, for an immediate need. Our client is looking for a self-starter with solid industry relationships within the East US region and experience partnering with multiple internal and external teams. This role will be fully remote but candidates must reside in the Eastern Time Zone. The role will require limited travel to client sites within the assigned region.
Direct Hire – Base salary up to $100K+ bonus/variable/incredible benefits – Fully-Remote – MUST BE LOCATED IN EST/EASTERN REGION OF US
**Must have sales/business development experience with rigid boxes to be considered**
What you will do:
- Generate B2B leads through online platforms, trade fairs, print houses, and in-person visits for packaging users/product manufacturers.
- Acquire new customers in the US directly or through print buyers, sourcing agencies, buying houses of rigid boxes/gift boxes, and/or any secondary packaging materials.
- Perform customer due diligence, documentation, and registration functions.
- Research prospective accounts in targeted markets, pursue leads and follow through on referrals.
- Develop expert knowledge of target markets, including industry, company, project, and company contacts, and which market strategies can be used to attract clients in alignment with sales strategy.
- Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to ensure that requirements are met.
- Regular communication & reporting to management on KPIs and closes.
- Maintain relationships with existing clients and identify new prospects within assigned territories to achieve annual sales objectives.
- Develop a strong knowledge of products, pricing structure, and competition in the industry to resolve inquiries and issues with customer accounts.
- Follow the latest industry developments and stay up to date on competitors.
- Manage customer engagement through the sales lifecycle to ensure contractual obligations are met and to enable customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum 3+ years’ of business development experience in the packaging space required.
- Excellent communication and persuasive selling skills.
- Ability to leverage CRMs and other internal tools.
- Experience selling to multiple management layers.
- High level of ethics and strong customer service acumen.
