The HT Group currently looking for a Mechanical Engineer (HVAC Engineer) who has experience in commercial construction for a multi-billion-dollar semiconductor expansion north of Austin. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 
Under policy direction from the Project Team, the Mechanical Engineer position is in charge of Mechanical Construction including reviewing HVAC P&ID, Specifications and Pipe Installation. This role must be able to run specific aspects of a large construction project. The employee must have Construction Management experience in the area of Mechanical Piping. Must have industrial or commercial construction knowledge in the Industrial or Manufacturing markets. The employee must be self-motivated, technically skilled, highly organized, be able to communicate clearly and have a proven ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment. Work history must represent increased levels of responsibility on a progressive basis throughout career.

Job Duties: 

  • Responsible for Construction monitoring and reporting to include progress measurement
  • Responsibilities include managing progress and schedule for assigned scope
  • Responsible for reviewing specification & shop drawing
  • Scheduling and Supporting daily quality and required CoT inspections
  • Document control (RFA, RFI, etc.)
  • Ensure projects scope, schedule and forecasts are developed, executed and tracked to meet project goals
  • Develop detailed project execution plan(s) to include development of project schedules within selected area of responsibility
  • Communicate project status to Project Management, Client, internal and external customers as appropriate or required
  • Responsible for all on-site safety and maintaining safety culture 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in Mechanical & Piping Construction (2+ Years)
  • Experience in HVAC or Process Piping
  • Experience in reviewing P&ID, etc
  • Experience in Progress Management
  • Proficient Experience in BIM, MS Office Programs (Word, Excel, Power Point) Auto CAD
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing.
  • Being able to manage multiple piping construction, and coordinate mechanical works with other construction works.
