The HT Group has partnered with a confidential field services client located in Ocala/Gainesville, FL vicinity in the search for a qualified Interim Controller for an immediate need for 2-3 months. Our client is looking for a self-starter with previous experience leading teams of 5+ and managing internal reporting for multiple leadership audiences.  The position will also assist with the annual budgeting process along with light financial reporting duties. This position will be hybrid with 3 days in-office/2 remote per week. 

Interim/Temporary$70-80/hrHybrid – Ocala/Gainesville, FL Area

What you will do:

  • Ownership of month-end close process (15-day close process)
  • Oversee all transactional and operations-based GL activities including: AP, AR, Billing, and State/Local Tax
  • Assist CFO with any budgeting/forecasting facets
  • Assist with ongoing system (Sage Intacct) and process improvements/enhancements
  • Leading and developing a small team to ensure best-practices and corporate alignment


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related; Master’s degree in Accounting preferred
  • CPA certification highly preferred
  • Big 4 or regional public firm experience preferred
  • 10+ years progressive experience in either public accounting or industry combination required
  • Previous experience leading teams of 7+ preferred
  • Previous Sage Intacct ERP experience highly preferred
  • Advanced MS Excel proficiency required
  • Ability to leverage others within the organization to diligently gather facts
  • Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills; attention to detail and accuracy in work; and time management and organizational skills
