The HT Group is seeking an experienced and dynamic Human Resources Director to lead HR operations for a rapidly growing organization in the Golden Triangle area. This is a hands-on leadership role for a strategic HR professional who thrives in high-growth environments, enjoys building structure, and can implement scalable systems, processes, and policies that drive organizational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Employee Relations
    • Coach front-line leaders on performance management, discipline, and employee engagement.
    • Promote consistent application of company policies and labor laws.
    • Build leadership capability through targeted development and feedback.
  • HR Strategy & Workforce Planning
    • Partner with leadership to forecast staffing needs and align HR plans with business growth.
    • Analyze turnover and workforce trends; develop data-driven retention strategies.
    • Oversee recruiting efforts in partnership with the recruiting team.
  • Compliance & Safety
    • Ensure compliance with federal and state labor laws, DOT regulations, and hours-of-service rules.
    • Collaborate with Safety on initiatives to reduce driver fatigue and workplace injuries.
    • Oversee leave administration, workers’ compensation, and injury management.
  • Systems & Analytics
    • Maintain and analyze HR metrics (turnover, headcount, compensation trends).
    • Utilize Excel and BI tools to develop and present actionable insights.
  • Policy, Culture & Change Management
    • Modernize and update HR policies, ensuring alignment with corporate and legal standards.
    • Serve as change agent to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
    • Support communication, engagement, and cultural initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 8–10+ years of progressive HR experience, including multi-site or high-volume operations.
  • Strong background in employee relations, compliance, and workforce planning.
  • Proficient with ADP; Workday experience strongly preferred.
  • Advanced Excel and data analysis skills (pivot tables, BI reports).
  • Experience with safety programs, workers’ compensation, and leave management.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership coaching skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, blue-collar environment with high visibility on site.
