The HT Group has partnered with an Austin, TX-based engineering services client in the search for a qualified Corporate Controller for an immediate need. Our client is looking for a self-starter with solid financial reporting and consolidations experience with a mix of management experience in both public accounting and industry settings. This position will be based out of the firm’s West Austin HQ and will provide hybrid flexibility along with the ability to partner with a solid leadership group in a growth-focused setting.
Direct Hire – Base salary up to $190K+ 20% bonus – Hybrid – West Austin, TX HQ
What you will do:
- Responsible for the accurate and timely consolidation of financials for multiple corporate entities/recent acquisitions
- Leading a team of 5+ direct reports ranging from operational finance to transactional accounting
- Managing preparation of detailed financial reporting packages for a range of C-Suite and investor audiences
- Managing external audit relationships for audit/tax focuses
- Performing purchase accounting and Fair Value analyses
- Additional responsibilities as assigned via the CEO and CFO
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Accounting preferred
- CPA certification required
- Big 4 or large regional public accounting firm experience required
- 10+ years progressive corporate/public accounting experience required
- Previous experience managing remote/dispersed teams and process required
- Previous experience managing consolidated financials in a high-volume, multi-entity setting required
- Advanced MS Excel proficiency
- Proficiency with larger ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, etc)
- Demonstrated success in partnering and presenting to C-Suite, partners or national office
- Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills; attention to detail and accuracy in work; and time management and organizational skills
- Demonstrated leadership experience and department management
