The HT Group is partnering with a well know automotive performance part supplier who is seeking a full time Buyer/Planner to join their Sourcing and Purchasing team! We are looking for a motivated self-starter who is eager and excited about working with a collaborative team.

**Management experience is a must. Automotive industry interest and/or experience preferred.**

Compensation: 85-100k+ DOE (bonus eligibility + great benefits)
Location: Wadsworth Ohio (on-site) 

Responsibilities:

  • Buy and source raw materials domestically and internationally for in house product development
  • Strategically buy and source products to maintain inventory levels and increase margin dollars
  • Measure, analyze and report key process metrics and monitor adherence to key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Review inventory levels to understand overages, working with vendors on inventory exit strategies
  • Collaborate marketing partners to drive sales, decrease excess inventory, and ensure a positive customer experience
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors; plan and meet regularly with top vendors
  • Develop strategic plans with vendors to grow categories using commerce, content, and community
  • Forecast demand to place buys based on seasonality and trend
  • Manage, train, and develop sourcing/purchasing team members (5) 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a buying/demand planning or similar roles
  • Experience buying/planning raw materials 
  • Must have direct management/supervisory experience
  • Experience working with vendors to navigate cancellations, switches, mark downs, etc.
  • Experience working with vendors on inventory exit strategies 
  • Extensive knowledge of demand forecasting and SKU level buying 
  • Experience with e-commerce buying/buying DTC products
  • Knowledge of the automotive performance industry highly desired
  • Must be highly proficient in MS Excel (Pivot tables, V-look Ups, conditional formatting, large data sets)
  • Strong understanding of inventory management, vendor relationships, buying processes, and inventory forecasting
  • Highly motivated self starter with strong leadership skills 
  • Ability to identify process improvement and recommend changes
  • Team play mentality with a positive, upbeat attitude
