Systems DevOps Administrator

The HT Group is working with an established and successful company in Austin to recruit an experienced Systems/DevOps Administrator to join their team. This role is a blend of IT Infrastructure support (40%) as well as Systems and DevOps administration (60%). This is an on-site position with a 12:00pm to 8:00pm, Monday through Friday work schedule. The Systems/DevOps Administrator responsibilities will include:

  • Responsible for the health, performance, and stability of systems and servers
  • Manage and maintain server applications including Active directory, Group Policy, DHCP, DNS, IIS and Encryption
  • Meraki Switches, Wireless Access Controller, Network Access Controller on site
  • Microsoft SQL Administration (2008-2016)
  • Microsoft SQL server failover clusters
  • Desktop Support including both Hardware, Software, Microsoft Windows Support, deployment and upgrades
  • AVAYA VoIP support including contributing to design plans and the implementation
  • Microsoft Exchange Administration
  • Troubleshoot SPAM failures on SonicWALL HES
  • CRM Microsoft Dynamics support
  • Troubleshoot local desktop issues with ESET Antivirus
  • Security Pass Administration
  • Automate tasks using PowerShell
  • Website maintenance and coding using IIS, .Net and C++

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • 3+ years of experience as a System/Network Administrator with strong working knowledge of networking and security principles
  • 1+ years acting in a DevOps administration role
  • Strong Windows Server knowledge with experience managing and maintaining server applications including Active directory, Group Policy, DHCP, DNS, IIS and Encryption
  • Proficient with IIS for web servers to include application pools
  • Experience with DHCP and DNS for IP address management
  • Experience with encryption applications (i.e. Bitlocker)
  • Experience with Meraki switches, Wireless Access Controllers and Network Access Controllers
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL administration including installation, configuration, backup, log shipping and fault finding of SQL databases (2008-2016)
  • Hardware support (i.e. desktops, laptops, servers, mobile devices, projectors, wall boards)
  • Microsoft Exchange Administration to include troubleshooting SPAM filters on SonicWALL HES
  • Experience troubleshooting local desktop issues with ESET antivirus
  • Security Pass administration experience
  • Experience automating tasks using PowerShell
  • Technical Certifications related to the role

Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Cisco CCNA certification
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL server failover clusters
  • Previous experience of a network running MS Dynamics
  • Experience with Avaya VoIP and PBX systems
  • Working knowledge of Chronicall and Tri-Line TIM Plus
  • Experience supporting a SaaS platform
  • Familiarity with micro services environments, Firewalls, Load Balancers, Clustered Windows Server, SQL Servers and Linux Boxes
