Sr. IT Project Manager (Software/Infrastructure)

Overview:

The Project Change Manager will have an exciting new role helping to transform the IT organization! This role will ensure projects meet objectives on time and on budget by increasing DOIT adoption. The primary responsibility will be creating and implementing change management strategies and plans that maximize adoption and minimize resistance. The Project Change Manager will work to drive adoption, higher ultimate utilization and greater proficiency of the changes that impact team members in the organization to increase benefit realization, value creation, ROI and the achievement of desired outcomes.

While the Project Change Manager does not have supervisory responsibility, this person will need to navigate the organization to succeed. The position may also provide direct support and coaching to leaders as they help their direct reports through the change initiative.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end project lifecycle
  • Apply a structured methodology to execute project organizational change management activities
  • Identify and manage stakeholders
  • Assess the project change impact
  • Conduct stakeholder interviews and complete change management assessments
  • Create an overall project change management strategy
  • Identify, analyze, prepare risk mitigation tactics
  • Consult and coach project teams
  • Drive communication and training efforts
  • Evaluate and ensure user readiness
  • Define and measure success metrics and monitor change progress

Qualifications

  • Minimum 12 years of relevant experience in IT project management organization with a proven track record of orchestrating driving organizational change
  • Bachelor’s Degree

Preferred

  • PMP or other relevant certification(s) is a plus
  • Experience managing complex infrastructure-based projects
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills (MS Visio, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Excel)
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise mature judgement
  • Demonstrated ability to manage ambiguity and apply problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to employ research and analytical thinking
  • Demonstrated capabilities in teamwork and leadership
