Liquidation Paralegal

The HT Group is partnering with our client in North Austin to hire a Liquidation Paralegal. The ideal candidate will have experience with paralegal duties for leans and foreclosures, have docket management experience, and be bilingual in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities:

  • Serves as the Liquidation Paralegal and provides a fill range of paralegal and general administrative support
  • Conducts legal research, analyze facts, and propose solutions to liquidation-related issues
  • Prepare documents and correspondence
  • Perform case management activities for teams of attorneys and non-attorneys
  • Administrative duties including coordination of activities and cases
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Energetic self-starter with team mindset and an appetite to learn
  • Strong technical experience (word processing, legal research, document management systems, calendaring, written and oral communication, etc.)
  • Time-management skills, including ability to plan and prioritize assignments, docket management and being both flexible and dependable
  • Attention to detail and ability to gather, analyze, and evaluate information in order to impartially analyze facts, draw conclusions and make decisions
  • Ability to identify problem areas, effectively communicate issues to management, and recommend corrective actions to improve processes and procedures
  • High school diploma/GED, paralegal certificate, knowledge of LEXIS, and two or more years of relevant work experience required.
  • Knowledge of financial institution bonds, litigation, federal administrative law, real estate, and debtor-creditor law preferred.
