Internal Audit

The HT Group is partnering with a great company in downtown Austin to find a Rockstar Internal Auditor. This is an opportunity to collaborate with smart, positive, and passionate people who take pride in their work and are empowered to do it well. We’re looking for someone who can come up with great ideas and run with them with customer satisfaction in mind. In this role, you’ll support the SOX Program in all aspects from consultation, compliance monitoring, walkthrough coordination, and remediation management. You will executive end-to-end operational audits and business process reviews to ensure compliance with laws/regulations and effectiveness of internal controls.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Assist in performing periodic global risk assessments to help ensure that key business risks are properly identified and mitigated by management
  • Assist in the development of reports and presentations on project findings, recommendations, and status update to senior management
  • Develop close but independent working relationships with business partners company-wide and produce clear, direct, and productive communication
  • Support special projects


  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • 5+ years of experience in a “Big 4” accounting/consulting environment and/or experience in conducting financial and operational audits in a multi-national public company
  • CPA or CIA is a plus
  • Good knowledge of Internal Audit, SOX, and audit approach
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly understand and assimilate business processes
  • Capable of performing risk assessments and identifying key business and financial risks
  • Ability to execute financial and operational audit plans and programs with guidance
  • Key skills and abilities include project management, influencing, facilitation, process development, analysis, and problem solving
  • Good problem identification and analytical skills with the ability to synthesize large amounts of data to support risk assessments, audits, and status updates
  • Ability to develop and write meaningful reports and presentations; excellent communication/presentation skills
  • Motivated and mature self-starter who works well individually and in teams
  • Excellent written and verbal English skills required
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
